I was born and raised in Argentina, where mate is part of everyday life — not just a drink, but a way of being together. I spent many of my childhood summers in the countryside, surrounded by gaucho culture, where the pages of Don Segundo Sombra felt alive in the people, the rhythm of the land, and the simple act of sharing a mate.

Where I come from, it’s normal to see everyone —adults and kids alike— passing around the mate. It’s part of you from the very beginning.

To me, mate means connection. It’s a pause in the day, a quiet ritual that grounds you. It’s laughter around a table, comfort in solitude, and a sense of home that travels with you — even across continents.

When I moved to Canada, I brought that ritual with me. Now, through Luv Mate, I want to share it with others.
